October, 2022 Update I moved to Fort Worth, Texas after 19 years in Colorado. Quite a change for me? Now I live about 15 minutes from my older sister, Connie (Johnson) Hurn from the Class of '62. It's really nice to be close to her especially since it's been a half century since we lived close to each other! I'm living in a gated Senior community. and feeling like I am starting over again. And I know it will take a while for this to really feel like home to me. I am completing a couple of programs this week that I have been taking courses through over the past 2 years. I am now a licensed teacher for the Art of Feminine Presence and Art of Masculine Presence (email me if you want to know what that is :)! I also received my certification as a Life Coach and will be launching my Coaching program very soon. This is something I have been working towards for the past 12 years! Very exciting! I really want to help women going through the Empty Nest...the kids are leaving home and now the mom feels a bit lost. Having been though that myself and learning many tools to regain my own sense of self and purpose I am confident in my ability to help them find their path again. So if you know anyone in that situation...your own children whose kids have flown the nest and now the mom is struggling, reach out to me for more information. I would love to help them! That's my news for now! Oh yeah, one more thing. Cheryl McBroom, Hope Anstine and myself will begin working on putting together our 60th year Class Reunion soon! Barbara Went on my first cruise Feb 2008. What a blast! So I posted a picture from one of the formal nights. My neighbor and room mate on the ship won another cruise (for two) and let me be her roomie again! That was also a great trip, San Juan, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas, Grand Turk and Holland America's private island. I retired at the end of 2012 and have been enjoying every minute of it! Have become involved in a wonderful women's global organization called BraveHeart Women. Just got back from a 15 day trip to New Zealand with about 30 of my BraveHeart Sisters (9 days at the Bay of Plenty) and then 10 of us went on to Tahiti for 2 nights. Farthest I have ever been from home! Before that I had only been to Mexico and Canada which don't count since they are still on the North American continent until I went to Costa Rica by myself about 3 years ago. That year a friend of mine introduced me to someone and we eventually married 10 years later! He was my skydiving instructor.
